The famous picture - The Girl in the Picture

I am ashamed that I didnt know about the famous "The Girl In The Picture" photo and the story happening during the VietCong's time. This book is different from those that I read. most authors tell their stories historigraphically.

This is more a biographical, it centred around the heroine who survived the checimal attack and how she pulls through her life. It pained to learn that the years that most of us growing up comfortably and saftely (from 70-80s), others are coping with various episodes of drama on life & death.

We may not know how painful the pain that those who suffered. However we can help. Most of my friends celebrate their birthdays these days by asking a donation which they help to double the donations and send to those less fortunate ones. I have also started during this 3 years ago by participating "Hair for Hope" (HfH) orgnaised by Children Cancer Foundation. If you are interested to read the review of this book, you can click here.

a last minute decision to eat outside of Singapore landed my BFF and me on the other side of the coast, Pasir Gudang.  I took many pictures and below is one of my favourite after adding a special effect.

the temptation of sticky bun has brought me to explore botanic gardens which i have not step in at least 10 years ago.  today, it is a new discovery and i took quite a fair amount of pictures using my iPhone 4S.

i just want to go back there with my proper camera gears to take some more photos. 

i was treated with a surprise on Halloween Day when one of my BFF left the company.  i learnt this from the social media instead of from her.  I send a message to find out more.

i guessed that this will go on a while. that's life, a friendship that was more than 20 years will have to wait a while to get around.

The family celebrated mom's 70th birthday.  With her, the youngest member of the family, YL.

finally the previous 750GB ext 3.5 HDD is replaced with Seagate GoFlex 1TB! this HDD was faulty in Feb when i bought my Drobo to replace 2 ext HDDs. Halfway thru the extraction process, Maxtor give up its spinning needle and thereafter it went into comatose.

let's treat this as a Deepavali treat for my storage library for games, movies, photos, songs, documents, installers and perhaps more digital books.
